2013 The Show Cab Sauv

I last reviewed the 2011 release of this wine and enjoyed it, so when I saw this one I grabbed it. Dark in color with a nice nose of black berries. On the mid palate the wine displays some lovely bold black cherries to match the nose. On the medium length finish the wine displayed some nice tannins, some oak and acidity with the black cherries lingering nicely. I would give this an 89. It is a lovely varietal fruit forward cab sauv. We paired it with a BBQ strip loin steak and it went very nicely. And of course, chocolate brownie for dinner! Yumm … And on sale right now for $2 off.
