Barista Pinotage 2013

Dark in color with a rich nose of dark cherries and some dark chocolate. On the mid palate the wine displays some dark cherries to match the nose along with dark chocolate, some licorice and even some medicinal notes. The wine is creamy in texture and long notes of dark chocolate persist. Theres lots of notes of depth and complexity that I have a hard time describing. It’s quite rich. There’s some nice tannins to the long finish along with some sweetness. I would give it an 88-89. I am not well versed in Pinotage so can’t say whether this is a good one or not. It certain is a unique flavor.
