2010 Wakefield Shiraz

Dark in color with a nice nose of black berries. On the mid pallet the wine matches the nose with dark berries and smooth refined tannins. The wine is medium in length on the finish. We paired it with a filet mignon and it went well. I would give this wine a solid 89. For the money this wine is a bargoon!

Tasting Note
A lithe, focused and distinctive red, with cedary overtones surrounding a core of red berry and cherry flavors. This displays depth and finesse. Best from 2014 through 2020. Score – 90. (Harvey Steiman, winespectator.com, April 30, 2013)
