2010 Decoy Cab Sauv

Dark in color with a nose of red and black berries. On the mid pallet the wine matches the nose with bold rich red and black berries. On the medium length finish the wine displays some firm acidity, some nice tannins along with some pepper, spice and acidity. I would give it an 88-89. A very nice wine but pricey.

Tasting Note
Decadent aromas of spiced plum, dark cherry, cassis, mocha and woodsmoke grab your attention before this ripe, round, succulent Cabernet splashes down (see what we did there?) on the palate with big intensity yet a super-soft touch – a velvet fist in a velvet glove. Drifts to a long, smooth, generously fruity finish with a tangy/smoky flourish. Enjoy over the next decade with leg of lamb or grilled steaks. (VINTAGES panel, April 2013)
