Smoking Loon old Vines Zinfandel mini review

Smoking Loon Cab use to be one of my favs but the latest year is no where near as good. I tasted this one at the Toronto Food and Wine show but unfortunately did not take note of the year it was. Dark in color with a mild nose. On the mid pallet this is fruit forward varietal zinf displaying the usual red berry and cassis flavors. It’s not jammy though. It has a lovely smooth finish. I will buy a bottle and do a more thorough review. I would give it an 89.
