2009 Prospect winery Haynes Barn Cab Merlot

We had this wine during our stay At Big White ski resort in BC. Carver’s Bar and Grill has a nice selection of Okanogan wines by the glass for very reasonable prices! Dark in color with a mild nose of red berries. On the mid pallet this is a typically edgey Okanogan red. Its sharp,  with bright acidity and some red berries coming through. Not a hint of merlot. The wine has some sharp tannins and some prominent pepper. The wine has some dry pucker power on the long finish. This is a big wine for sure. And a bit young. I would give it an 89 to 90. Woohoo this one is in the LCBO!
