Borgogno 1998 Barolo Riserva

Another one from the Trialto Barolo tasting at the fine wine reserve! The 21 year old wine maker attended the event.

Dark in color with a nose of dried fruits. On the mid pallet the wine has some lovely red berries and some dried fruits. On the finish the wine has some lovely dry pucker power that builds slightly in the mouth. On the medium finish the wine has some smooth tannins. I would give it a solid 90. Available by the half case for $115 a bottle from Trialto, not in the LCBO.

The winery.
