STONELEIGH MARLBOROUGH SAUVIGNON BLANC 2007

We stopped on by Ki which is my favorite sushi restaurant. They have a pretty good wine list. I like whites sauv blanc and Rieslings with sushi. This time around we went with the Stoneleigh Sauv Blanc. The wine is pale in color with a typical Sauv Blanc on the nose. In the mouth the wine has lots of lemon and grassy flavors typical of a New Zealand Sauv Blanc. Very good. On the finish the wine is a little on the light side. It certainly does not go on and on the way some do. This is a very food friendly wine. I would give this one a 88 or so. Quite enjoyable and it went well with the sushi. Yummy … Rinse and repeat.
