Pajaru Vientu Appassimento 2024

Dark in color with a dark, dried fruit nose. On the mid palate the wine shows some fruity dark dried plums that match the nose along with some mild oak and tobacco notes. The finish is on the lighter side with noticeable sugar, and fruit notes dominating. Acidity and tannins are mild at best. Personally, to my tastes, this wine is a soft fruit bomb, if I had more I would return them. It really is NOT to my tastes. I would give an 87 and that’s being generous. For the price … meh pass. Product Details

The nose first presents black plums and boysenberries, then follows up with savory black olives, wild herbs and sweet tobacco. The palate layers more sweet, dark fruit with dark chocolate, then adds fresh, cool spearmint and fennel. Acid and salt create a bouncy mouthfeel. Score – 92.
