Invivo Taylor’s Rosé 2023

This wine was on sale at the LCBO so grabbed it … Pale salmon in color with a mild nose. on the mid palate the wine is quite tart, almost bitter, with hints of cranberry, and some effervescence on the mouth. On the medium length finish the bitter and tart notes hang around. If I had more I would return them … I’ve give it maybe an 86, and that’s being nice. Yuk. From the LCBO web site, check stock:

Named after co-founder Tim Lightbourne’s son, the 2023 Invivo Taylor’s Rosé is the second vintage of this wine and is a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Merlot with Sauvignon Blanc rounding out the mix. Sourced from prime sites in Marlborough, Hawke’s Bay and Gisborne, the wine is elegant and floral, with a zippy, food-friendly acidity and tangy watermelon, blueberry, and Asian pear.
