2021 Conundrum Red

Dark in color with a red berry nose. On the mid palate this is a big jammy wine with lots of strawberry notes coming through. The residual sugar at 12g/l is quite noticeable. On the medium length finish the wine displays balanced acidity and tannins. This is REALLY not a wine to my tastes at all. Frankly, if I had more I would take them back … and for the price, I expect a lot more complexity. This is quite simply a fruity, jammy wine … I would give it an 87 … According to the winemakers web site “created from dark red varietals including Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon”.
