Stadt Krems Grüner Veltliner 2016

Pale in color with a nice crisp minerally nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice crisp dry honeysuckle notes. This reminds me a lot of a crisp dry Riesling. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice crisp dry minerality along with some nice acidity. This is a super food friendly wine with the acidity to cut through cheesy dishes. We paired it with Fettucine carbonara and it went well. Held it’s own without overpowering the meal. I would give it an -88.

Stadt Krems Grüner Veltliner 2016 — VINTAGES#: 295626
STYLE – Aromatic & Flavourful
A touch of yeast and sage emerges amidst lime peel scents on the nose of this wine. The palate reinforces those flavors, while white pepper and lime notes tingle around the edges. It’s lean but concentrated and finishes with such a clean and refreshing zip that you just want to sip more. Score – 91. (Anne Krebiehl, MW, Wine Enthusiast, July 1, 2017) $18.95
