13th Street Cuvée Brut Rosé

I have to admit, I’m not a fan of Rosé … and even less of a fan of a sparkling Rosé but I had this one at a wine tasting and was impressed. Recently I had a little dinner party, ya I know your invite got lost in the mail 🙂 and decided to choose this wine to kick off the the evening … so I guess … spoiler alert … I liked it. Typical Rosé in color with a nice crisp dry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice crisp dry notes to match the nose along with some nice red berry notes. The wine is a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice smooth tannins and acidity. This is a super food friendly wine with a nice bite capable of holding up to the appetizers I was serving including even blue cheeses. I would give the wine an 88 or so. Quite nice, but not cheap …
