The Velvet Devil Merlot

Inky dark in color with a nice black plum nose. On the mid palate the wine matches the nose with lovely black plums coming through along with some black cherries, and hint of wood. On the medium length finish the wine is nice and dry with some smooth tannins. The fruit on this merlot is intense. Sipped on it’s own it’s over the top, with food it a little more subdued, but none the less a bold fruit forward merlot. I would give it an 88 or so. IMHO this is a drink now wine, get it while it’s on sale at the LCBO!
