2016 Thalia Sauv Blanc Vilana

This wine is a blend of 50% sauv blanc and 50%Vilana. Pale in color with a nice floral nose along with some citrus notes. On the mid palate the wine when cold is a mild subtle sauv blanc that builds nicely in the mouth with nice citrus overtones. As the wine warms up the character of the wine becomes far more pronounced and the vibrant acidity and tartness come through. For the price this is a shockingly good one. But be careful with the temperature you serve it at or you will completely miss it’s complexity. I would give it an -88 or so. The LCBO say light and crisp, it ought to say light and crisp when cold out of the fridge. This wine would be a perfect summer sipper for the patio!
