2015 Sterling Vintner’s Merlot

Dark in color with a nice dark cherry nose. On the mid palate the wine displays some nice dark cherries to match the nose. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice firm acidity and tannins. The 13.5% alcohol is quite noticeable. Some breathing would definitely help. I would give it an 88 or so, quite nice albeit a bit edgey. To my tastes this is much more of cab than a Merlot.
