Maison Chanzy Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015

Garnet in color with a nice rustic nose with soft red berries coming through. On the mid palate the wine displays some rich light red berries, strawberries and raspberries. On the medium length finish the wine displays some lovely smooth tannins and acidity. There’s some lovely mouth grip to this wine, it builds nicely. There’s some noticeable alcohol especially out of the bottle. This is a really good varietal pinot fr the money. Interestingly it is even labelled as a pinot noir, something the french don’t often do. I would give it an 89. Yumm.

Maison Chanzy Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2015 — VINTAGES#: 408153
STYLE – Medium-bodied & Fruity
Burgundy is a region with a reputation for expensive wines more suited to collectors and connoisseurs than for your everyday wine lover – and though many of the world’s most expensive and sought-after wines are certainly made here, the region is home to great value too. This ripe and structured example is a case in point. Earthy, with ripe red and black cherry, excellent freshness and spice, it is a supple, juicy, complex and inviting wine.
