2014 Tres Pilaves Verdejo (mini review)

Verdejo is the white grape in the Rueda region of Spain. I recently attended an event hosted by the Spanish Wine Society in Toronto focused on this varietal. This was one of the stars of the night. Pale in color with mild nose. On the mid palate the wine is crisp and dry. There are some nice green flavors, and herbaceous notes. On the medium length finish the wine displays some nice green tartness and acidity. A very food friendly wine. I would give it an 88 or so. Sadly, not yet in the LCBO.
